During launch the installers are not yet code-signed with Microsoft and Apple, so your computer asks you to confirm the first time. You only do this once.
On a Mac, the first time you open footage from Desktop, Documents or an external drive, macOS asks for file access — click Allow. Only download from the buttons on this page to get the latest file straight from us.
Open Settings and pick your own API key, or the Claude Code / Codex you're signed in to on this computer. Press Test to check it works.
Channel name, audience, tone, logo and subtitle font. Do it once — every clip on the channel follows it.
Start a project, add what you shot, let AI propose a story, check the storyboard and cut. Out comes a ready-to-post MP4.
Kutter is free during launch. With your own API key you pay the AI provider directly for what you use; with Claude Code or Codex you use the plan you already have. If pricing changes in the future, we'll announce it in advance in the app and on this page.
Your videos and project files stay on your computer, and the edit happens there. Only what the AI needs goes out, to the provider you chose — for example the transcript to the AI that plans the story, or the speech audio to ElevenLabs if you transcribe with ElevenLabs. With Whisper, audio never leaves your computer. More in our Privacy Policy.
Yes. Besides MP4 and SRT subtitles, you can send a layered CapCut project, or a timeline for Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve and Final Cut Pro, and keep editing every piece.
Kutter is built Thai-first for subtitles, and can dub a finished clip into 10 other languages, giving you a separate clip with subtitles in that language.
The app checks for new versions by itself and shows a dot on the version number at the bottom of the left menu. It never installs until you click "Update now" in Settings. Save your work first — the app closes and reopens.
